Briefs: Romance Just Got a Rebrand

Networking is essential in any industry, as this leads to more contacts, resources, clients, and business. The common thoughts behind networking paint a picture of formal gatherings and name tags. This can seem intimidating to some, but the good news is there are plenty of ways to build your network outside of a Sharpie and name tag. As our industry heads in a forward direction, we too as creatives must move forward. Find the people you admire on social media, follow them, like their posts, and share your admiration with them!

This is an easy way to get attention from potential clients and others you want to connect with. Show genuine interest and share positive words, but be careful not to spam them as this will come off generic. Word of mouth is one of the most effective ways to build rapport, and if you share the love on others pages, you will likely receive it back! This cycle can lead to your reputation being filled with positivity and increasing your attractiveness to new business. This past April Fool’s Day, we teased a creative-centric dating app and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Holler if you think this should really happen!
